Today, Saturday, the competitions of the Gulf Cup for veteran football players kick off, hosted by the State of Kuwait at Jaber Al-Mubarak Stadium until next Wednesday, with the participation of 8 teams.
According to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the participating teams in the tournament have been divided into two groups based on the draw of the Arabian Gulf Cup (Gulf Zain 26) recently held in Kuwait.
Group A includes the teams of Kuwait, Qatar, the UAE, and Oman, while Group B consists of the teams of Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, and Yemen, with the top two teams from each group qualifying for the semifinals.
The first day of the tournament features four matches, starting with Iraq facing Yemen at 4:15 PM, followed by Bahrain against Saudi Arabia at 6:15 PM, after which the opening ceremony of the tournament will take place.
After the opening ceremony, Kuwait will meet Oman at 7:45 PM, followed by the match between Qatar and the UAE at 9:15 PM.
